e-list Privacy Policy

e-list ("we", "our", or "the app") is a shared shopping list application. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

1. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Username and optional display name you choose during registration. We do not require email or phone number.
• Shopping Data: Shopping lists, products, folders, and workspace content you create within the app.
• Device Information: Device language preference for localization purposes.
• Push Notification Token: If you enable notifications, we store your device push token to deliver real-time updates.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide the core shopping list functionality
• To sync data between shared workspace members in real-time
• To send push notifications about list updates (when enabled)
• To display the app in your preferred language
• To display ads via Google AdMob (see Section 10 below)
• To analyze app usage via Microsoft Clarity (anonymous analytics)

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your shopping lists are shared only with workspace members you explicitly invite. We share data with:

• Supabase: Our database provider (data storage and real-time sync)
• Google AdMob: For serving advertisements (see Section 10 below)
• Microsoft Clarity: For anonymous usage analytics
• Expo: For push notification delivery

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on Supabase servers with row-level security policies. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. Only workspace members can access shared list data.

5. Camera & Microphone

The app requests camera access to scan QR codes and barcodes. Microphone access is requested for voice product input. These permissions are optional and data is processed locally on your device.

6. Children's Privacy

Our app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Your Rights

• Delete your account and all associated data at any time
• Leave any shared workspace
• Disable push notifications
• Revoke camera and microphone permissions

8. Advertising (Google AdMob)

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the app. AdMob may collect and use the following data:

• Device identifiers: Advertising ID (GAID/IDFA)
• IP address: For approximate location-based ad targeting
• Device information: Device model, operating system, screen size
• App usage data: Ad interaction data (views, clicks)

Google may use this data to serve personalized ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
• iOS: Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Turn off Personalized Ads

9. Analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how users interact with our website. Clarity collects anonymous usage data (page views, clicks, scroll behavior) but does not collect personal information. For more information, see Microsoft's Privacy Statement.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page.
